Last night was the big event. Yes, the Birch Elementary Carnival had finally arrived. With much anticipation, we drove to the school and stood in awe at the wonders awaiting us. Okay, so we weren't that mesmerized, but it was a lot for the kids to take in, so much so that they could hardly control their excitement. They went on the big blow-up slides, the Astro Jump, did the ring toss, fishing pond, duck pond, sucker tree, balloon darts, pony ride, wheel of fortune, and fortunately, not the face-painting, the line was too long--darn! We did get plenty of cotton candy though, hurray for that! We made it home just before 9 0'clock and just before Josh had a complete melt down. Phew! Playing that hard sure does make you tired.
