Backyard Swimming Fun

It is full-blown summer here in Vegas which means it is scorching HOT!!! We have so many friends in the ward who are so kind as to have us over to swim, but on the days when we have nowhere to go, we head to our backyard oasis! And what an oasis it is! The kids have such good imaginations and can make fun wherever they are.
Along the lines of HOT........our A/C went out last week right after I had taken off to Utah with the kids for the week. I felt so bad for Jared who had to endure the heat but was so grateful that I wasn't there with 4 kids! When we did get back from Utah, the A/C still didn't work and it took another few days to get a new A/C unit installed. We had a nice couple of days stay in a hotel room (which we kept at a cool 65 degrees) so we didn't have to live in a balmy 99 degree house. BLAH!!! It is pretty sad when it feels great to have a breeze coming through the house when it is 114 degrees outside! Crazy, we know! We endured the heat as long as possible and were so grateful when the A/C was blowing cool air again. We realized how much we take A/C for granted. Oh how thankful we are for it now!
