Starting out with a bunch of pics. Here goes......

Okay, so on the way to Utah Josh told us in the car that he wanted to sing "
Thumbkin" for the family talent show. Jared and I said that was great and we knew he could do it (while looking at each other as if to say, "yeah, right. Josh get up in front of all those people? I don't think so"). So the talent show starts and low and behold, he stands up in front of everybody with a voice so quivery that it put me near tears, okay, I was in tears, and he proceeded to sing the entire song! We couldn't believe he did it and he made us so proud! Way to go buddy!

For the talent show our family sang "Prayer of the Walking Child." It is a song about Martin's Cove and has such a sweet message. Needless to say, I was so choked up that I couldn't sing most of it. The girls, Jared, and Josh pulled us through though. That's what families are for........to keep singing even though mom is a blubbering idiot! Thanks y'all!

More of Josh singing "
Thumbkin."

Jared was asked to write a poem about his mom and so he put together a Limerick with several different stanzas. Some were way funny and some were really tender. I know that he put a lot of time in writing it and I also know that it was greatly appreciated, at least the tender parts!

At Grandpa Ralph's funeral a few months ago, all of the
grandkids sang "How Great Thou Art." There were requests for them to sing it again so it could be captured on tape/film/DVD/whatever. If you have never heard the
Warthen grandkids sing, you are missing out, it was beautiful!

The
Warthen Sisters! Gayle, Connie, and Barbara. They were a riot and the kids ate them up!

Most of the
Warthen great-
grandkids. Aren't they a handsome bunch?

Ha! My attempt at feeling young again (or stupid again, you take your pick)! Doing a back-flip off the diving board.

Me with my boys! Holy freaky,
tweeky, eye Lori! Ha, ha!!!

Luke has finally met his match in his cousin Lauren! They are two peas in a pod, and so cute, I might add!
Our McKnight family reunion was at the end of June and I am just now getting to write about all the fun we had. First off, a big thanks to Jason and Candee for hosting the whole shindig at their beautiful home in Heber City. Wow. We loved the beautiful area and all the trees and mountains. Oh..........and the rain...........to die for (you know, coming from Las Vegas where the only time it ever rains is when you wash your car and even then, only enough to coat your newly cleaned vehicle with spots before ceasing completely)! That's how it goes. We had so much fun visiting with all of Jared's immediate family and cousins and aunts and uncles. It really was so much fun to see everybody again. We went to Kamas to the indoor aquatic center for one of the days and had a ball. I never knew Kamas had a facility so nice! It was seriously awesome. The only reason I'd ever been to/through Kamas was because it was on the way to camping when I was little and we always stopped to get an ice cream cone. I loved Kamas as a kid. It meant sugar!
We were also able to hit "Granny's" a couple of times. It is a little burger and shake restaurant in Heber. Mmm.....so good. Yes, I love ice cream. It was so fun to sit back and watch all the cousins run around together and get to know each other better. I love family! Thanks Barb, Connie, and Gayle for creating such good memories for all of us. Let's not wait too long to do it again.

Luke could not get enough of the swings.

Luke in his element.

The grandmas had the kids do a dress-up relay race and I wasn't able to snap a pic of Bailey before she removed all of her garb, so she humored me by putting her hat back on. Thanks Peanut!

You gotta love this one. All of the boys got to put on some pretty sweet clothes!

This is Brynn at her finest! LOVE the outfit
Brynnie!!!
